Professional Overview
I am an ACVP board-certified veterinarian and a BELS-certified freelance medical writer and editor in the Boston region, and my diverse scientific background has allowed me to specialize in putting the passion into medical communication for the health professions.

Education & Credentials
Having worked across various areas of science since 1990, I have a long track record in writing and reviewing of scientific documents, preparing scientific posters, and constructing slide decks for lecture and seminar presentations. I also spent 16 years in academia, teaching at professional degree and continuing education levels, and contributing to clinical and biomedical research programs that produced a plethora of peer-reviewed publications.
In addition to gaining a degree in veterinary medicine, my education trail has taken me through degrees of Bachelor of Science and Master of Science. I subsequently also completed a residency training program at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Anatomic Pathology, and I am board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP).
Full-time positions have encompassed diagnostic pathology, toxicologic pathology, and research pathology. My work in academia has involved positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Tufts University, and the Division of Comparative Medicine at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I have also been a member of the ACVP Examination Committee since 2006, and additionally have served on the ACVP Education Committee.
While my career path has been varied, evaluation and communication of pathological data to clinicians or scientific researchers has been an integral part of all aspects of it.
